Dear Colleagues;
This is the first post of our new professional learning community. Our purpose is to integrate 6+1 Writing into our classrooms at our school district. This writing program was selected after much research and thought; we are firmly convinced of its superior process, product and results. We hope that you will feel as strongly about the program after putting it into practice in your educational activities as we do.
In future postings we will discuss what our expectations are for the staff as you learn and apply the 6+1 Writing program in your professional life. We will focus on each of the seven, "6+1," traits in turn and at the end of each post we will pose a question for discussion. Please log into our group to post your reply. The question will be restated there for our discussion. This is a private group but a public blog, so we will endeavor to keep this general and 'unidentifiable.' We request your assistance and compliance with this requirement.
